Who's Looking at Me?

"Who's Looking at Me" is a mixed media video combining physical and digital elements. I wanted to explore that weird feeling you get if you stare at your reflection too long, or when you say a word so many times that it doesn't sound like a real word anymore. Everything begins to feel a bit off.

I wanted the subject's portrait to become more and more bizarre as the video progressed to capture this feeling. I determined the creative direction for these images and photographed my subject. Then, I printed images out, created a storyboard, collaged them together, and photographed every change I made to help create a stop motion effect. Then, I put my images together in premiere, synchronized them to the music, and added some additional effects in photoshop. This was a really fun way to combine physical and digital media and try out stop motion for the first time! Check out a bit of my process below.
